St. John's Lutheran School offers preschool classes for 3 and 4 year old children, and Kindergarten through 8th grade classes. St. John's is accredited by the National Lutheran School Association and North Central Association, and is fully recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. Each classroom is networked and Internet accessible. Christ-centered religious classes are taught daily, along with English, reading, foreign language, social studies, science, math, computers, music and physical education classes. All students visit the library (with over 10,000 volumes) each week. A hot lunch program is offered each day. Extra curricular activities include boy and girl scout programs, choirs, band and a full athletic program. The children enjoy playing in our fenced in playground. A complete before and after school program is available for our students. St. John's has been educating children in the Mayfair community since 1876.
